Terms and Conditions
Persia Plumbing & Heating Ltd. · Last updated 2 September 2026
Welcome to Persia Plumbing.
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Persia Plumbing & Heating Ltd.'s website, located at persiaplumbing.ca. By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use Persia Plumbing if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
These terms
These terms are between you and Persia Plumbing & Heating Ltd., carrying on business as Persia Plumbing & Heating ("we", "us"). They govern your use of persiaplumbing.ca, any messages you receive from us, and any work we carry out for you, except where we have signed a separate written contract with you, in which case that contract governs to the extent the two differ.
Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or any other consumer protection legislation. Where a term conflicts with that legislation, the legislation prevails, and the remainder of these terms continue to apply.
About us
We are a licensed plumbing and heating contractor serving all of Metro Vancouver and beyond. We carry commercial general liability insurance, and we are registered with WorkSafeBC. We will provide proof of either on request.
Booking an appointment
Appointments are booked as an arrival window rather than a fixed time, and we tell you the window when you book. If we are going to fall outside it we will contact you before it closes. Emergency calls, traffic, and conditions found at an earlier job can move a window, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Our telephone may be answered by an automated assistant, which is able to book, move or cancel an appointment. A booking made in that way is a real booking and we will honour it. If you would rather speak with a person, say so and the call will be transferred or returned.
You are responsible for providing safe access to the work area at the time booked, including any keys, codes or parking that are required, and for restraining animals. If we attend and cannot obtain access, or nobody is present, a call-out fee of $119 may apply.
You may cancel or move an appointment at no charge up to 24 hours before the start of your window. After that point a call-out fee may apply.
Quotes, estimates, and the difference between them
Anything given to you over the telephone, by text message, or through this website is an estimate. It is based on what you have described to us, and it is not binding on either of us.
A fixed price is given in writing after we have seen the work, and it states what is included. Only a written fixed price is binding. Estimates remain open for thirty days unless they state otherwise, and prices may move if the price of materials moves. Plumbing is largely concealed behind walls, beneath floors and underground. If, once work has begun, we encounter conditions that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand — corroded or non-conforming pipe, undisclosed prior work, structural or drainage problems, or hazardous material — we will stop, tell you what we have found and what it changes, and obtain your approval before continuing. You are never charged for additional work you did not approve.
We are not a hazardous materials contractor. If we encounter asbestos, mould, lead or any similar material, we will stop work in that area, and a qualified abatement contractor will be required before we can continue. Time spent up to that point is chargeable.
Emergency and after-hours work. In an emergency it may be necessary to act immediately to prevent injury or further damage, for example by shutting off water or gas or by making a temporary repair. By asking us to attend an emergency, you authorize us to take those immediate steps and to charge for them at our applicable rates. We will tell you the cost as soon as it is practical to do so.
Permits and inspections
Some work requires a municipal or provincial permit. Where it does, we will tell you, and unless we have agreed otherwise, the permit and inspection fees are yours. Work that requires a permit is not complete until it has passed inspection.
Price and payment
Invoices are due on receipt unless the invoice states otherwise. A deposit may be required for larger work or for special-order materials; deposits are applied to the final invoice, and a deposit on special-order materials is non-refundable once those materials have been ordered.
Overdue accounts accrue interest at 1.5% per month, being 19.56% per year, calculated from the due date, and you are responsible for the reasonable costs of collection. Title to materials we supply remains with us until the invoice has been paid in full. We hold lien rights under British Columbia's Builders Lien Act, and we reserve them.
Warranty, and its limits
We warrant our workmanship for twelve months from completion. If our workmanship fails within that period, we will put it right at no charge for labour. Materials and equipment carry the manufacturer's warranty and no more, and we will assist you in making a manufacturer's claim.
The warranty does not cover normal wear; damage arising from misuse, freezing, neglect, or work carried out by anyone else; existing pipe, fixtures or equipment that we did not supply or install; problems we told you about and which you chose not to have addressed; or work you declined to have permitted or inspected. The warranty is void while an account remains unpaid.
This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under the Sale of Goods Act and other consumer protection legislation, and does not limit them.
What you agree to tell us
You agree to tell us what you know about the property that could affect the work, including prior repairs, known leaks, the location of shut-offs, hazardous material, and anything unusual about the plumbing. We are not responsible for problems caused by information that you held and did not share with us.
Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including any right you hold under British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.
Subject to that, our total liability for any claim connected with a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost income, lost rent, loss of use, or the cost of alternative accommodation. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by anything outside our reasonable control, including weather, supply shortages, utility failure, or the acts of another trade. These limits form part of what makes our pricing possible and are reflected in it.
Messages from us
By giving us your mobile number and agreeing where we ask you to, you agree to receive text messages from us about your service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. How we handle those messages is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Reviews
After a completed job we may ask you for a review. Whether you leave one, and what it says, is entirely your choice. We do not offer anything in exchange for a review, we do not pay for reviews, and we do not filter whom we ask.
This website
We keep this site accurate but do not warrant that every detail is current. Content on the site is general information and is not advice for your particular situation. The text, images and design are ours and may not be copied without our permission.
If something goes wrong
Tell us first. Call (778) 686-6363 or write to hello@persiaplumbing.ca and give us a fair opportunity to put it right, which is faster and cheaper for both of us than any alternative. If we cannot resolve the matter between us, either of us may pursue it in the courts of British Columbia.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia. If any term is found to be unenforceable, the remainder continue to apply. We may update these terms by posting a revised version on this page; the version in force at the time you booked is the version that applies to that job.
